PREPARING FOR CLASS + FAQ'S

NEW TO VEGA AERIAL FITNESS + WELLNESS? 
If you are a new client, please print the following Liability Form, fill it out, and bring it to class. You may also show up 15 minutes early and fill out the form on site. Attendees without a signed liability form will NOT be allowed to participate in any of our classes. 
WHAT TO EXPECT?
  • Be prepared to take your fitness to new HEIGHTS.
  • Be prepared to have amazing FUN in a safe and supportive environment!
  • Be prepared to engage your entire body and your mind.
  • In each class, you will strengthen, lengthen, tone and nourish your entire body. You will develop strength, flexibility, stability mental + physical prowess. Aerial Fitness Fusion is a total body workout that will allow you to develop core strength, back + upper body strength while toning your entire body in record time! In an Aerial Fitness Fusion class, you will use an aerial fabric hammock suspended from the ceiling or an aerial portable rig 2 to 3ft off ground to support the body for deep stretching, playfully explore fluid movements, gain balance, coordination, and strength. You will learn how to create space throughout the entire body without compressing your spine or joints.
  • No prior experience is necessary to participate.
  • All levels and ages are welcome.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A CLASS + WHAT SHOULD I BRING?​
  • Bring a yoga mat + H2O + small towel.
  • ​​Avoid rich foods 1.5 hours before class, (meaning eat lite before) do not come on an empty stomach, be well hydrated.
  • Wear tight fitting pants that cover knees (prevents chaffing and preserves fabric hammock)
  • Wear tight fitted shirt that cover the armpits + midriff.
  • Remove jewelry, watches, anything that can catch and snag the hammock. Refrain from wearing clothing that has zippers or other elements that can tear the hammocks.
  • Refrain from heavy chemical fragrances.
  • We use pure, certified therapeutic grade essential oil aromas at the end of certain classes to promote relaxation.  Please advise us in advance, if you have allergies or sensitivities to a particular plant or citrus aroma.
CAN ANYONE DO AERIAL FITNESS FUSION OR VEGA BUNGEE FUSION?
 
Provided one does not have any of the contraindications listed below herein and barring any physical abnormalities, anyone who can do at least 3 consecutive sit ups can do Aerial Fitness Fusion and VEGA BUNGEE FITNESS™. To do all of the exercises VEGA AERIAL FITNESS + WELLNESS™, it is easiest for someone who maintains a consistent fitness regime and has a strong core.
 
SAFETY IS FIRST PRIORITY!
Client safety is our first priority when teaching any of our multidisciplinary fitness classes.  Instructors are qualified and certified to teach Skybody Aerial Fitness Fusion and VEGA Aerial Bungee Fitness. All Aerial Fitness Fusion equipment is graded practice and supports over 2,000 lbs. Aerial Bungee equipment and practice supports up to 160 lbs. currently. The environment is safe and friendly where clients feel comfortable asking questions, and exploring techniques with instructor's support. We take time to carefully review and make adjustments for each client’s needs within the aerial fabric or aerial bungee setup ensuring proper spotting, support and alignment in every class.
CLIENTS SHOULD BE AWARE OF THEIR PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS and consult a doctor prior to signing up for any of our unique fitness classes. Please speak to the instructor before participating in class, if you have any medical issues that prevent you from inverting or putting pressure on your skin. Knowing and understanding your physical limitations is critical to having a positive fitness experience free from injury. Below are some conditions in which Aerial Fitness Fusion or Aerial Bungee Fitness is not recommended.
 
Physical restrictions and contraindications:
Recent surgery (esp. shoulder, eyes, back, hips, hands or wrist)
Pregnancy
Glaucoma
Recent Surgery
Heart Disease
Head cold, flu or sinusitis
Very High or Very Low Blood Pressure
Easy Onset Vertigo/motion sickness
Osteoporosis or Bone Weakness
Recent Concussion or Head Injury
Head Cold, Flu, or Sinusitis Hiatal Hernia or Disc Herniation
Recent Stroke
Artificial or Re-Surfaced Hips
Botox (within 24 hours of class)
